Hi! I'm Destini, founder of The Fit Foodie Method

I know how it feels to get started on a fitness journey- putting in all your effort, giving up your favorite foods, counting calories, working out endlessly...All without getting the true lasting health & fitness results you desire. Over the last 10 years, I have tried every diet out there. I became obsessive at many points, which led me to so much stress, food guilt, unhealthy habits, and ultimately issues with my cycle & skin. Before finally getting off the diet roller coaster, healing my gut, & achieving my fitness goals- My fascination with the human body & how we operate led me to receive my BA in Neuroscience. I became a behavioral analyst for a short period of time, later going on to get my license as a Health Insurance Advisor. After 3 years as an advisor, I learned that the true reality for so many people in the U.S, is taking a cocktail of prescriptions to manage HBP, diabetes, gout, IBS, and SO much more. I set off on a mission to learn everything I could about where these health issues stemmed & became a Hydration Specialist. For two years I helped educate others on how to heal their body with proper hydration & nutrition so they could finally live the healthy life they deserve! In the process, I became an expert in my subject matter & ultimately learned...that you really can achieve true health, strong lean curves, and confidence- without crazy diet food restrictions, magic pills, or detox teas… In my search to master everything about real maintainable health, I transformed my own life & impacted others along the way which inspired my final pivot to a Health & Fitness Coach. My goal is to help other women break free from the disheartening diet culture and achieve all their health + fitness goals. I entered the program hoping to tackle losing at least 20 pounds- the pesky 20 pounds that would put me over the edge after baby. My biggest a-ha moment - where there were plenty. But I will say the one I will always take with me is to listen to my body, It knows what it wants, and yes, even if it's a cookie. Listening to my body when it wanted food, rest, and movement became a life changing tool! And I didn't gain any of the weight I always feared I would, instead I steadily (slowly but surely) lost the weight. My favorite part of the program were my touch bases with Destini. I originally joined The Fit Foodie Method because I was dealing with EXCESSIVE bloat. Regardless of how much I had worked out, I just couldn’t get rid of my bloat. I had always been involved in yo-yo dieting but What I was really searching for was a lifestyle shift. Especially for my perfectionist mindset, diets were never sustainable and usually ended with guilt and shame. My biggest Aha moment in The Fit Foodie Method was my mindset. I didn’t realize how much of an unhealthy relationship I had with food until I became more aware of my thoughts. Destini did a great job at challenging these limiting and self-defeating thought patterns and helped me for new healthier beliefs surrounding food. I've been working with Destini for a little over a month now to implement a more sustainable lifestyle through her Fit Foodie Method. These months of quarantine was the perfect opportunity to really dedicate myself to these lifestyle changes, and I can physically and emotionally feel the difference in my body already. I have been working with her daily to track my progress, following her recipes for healthier snacks and sweet alternatives, and really loving the customized workouts that she provides. The best part for me is doing these workouts from home. I have always wanted/tried to consume healthier products for my body, but it was easy for me to give up when I didn't have the items on hand or the endless excuses I would find myself making.
